Jared Ralph

Jared is 30!

I'm using a Josh/Jared picture since I didn't put one up on April 7.

Pad Thai

We like the rice sticks (noodles) that we got amongst the goodies Erin/Josh gave us for Christmas. I rarely experiment from an untasted recipe, but I looked up Pad Thai and we made a yummy version of it. For the sauce we used Soy Vay, the teriyaki Scott introduced to us when he lived with us in SG.

(Our recipe didn't look like the picture).

Madras

I see that madras is making another comeback. I like it. The 60's ensemble included khaki jeans with navy, low cut tennis shoes. Bleached, surfer-looking hair optional.

Number 42

Fun to watch the Dodgers remember Jackie Robinson's 60th year yesterday, every Dodger wearing #42. I've respected his restraint as the first black to play professional sport, but I'm every bit as impressed with his gracious wife, Rachel. Branch Rickey, Dodger General Manager, was the one to hire him.

"Even if all, not I"

“Et si omnes ego non.”
This short BYU Magazine article mentions a good family motto.
Pretty cover, too. (President Samuelson is a cousin to Robin S. Nilsson of SG. )

Urquharts of Countryside

Lucy, Ruth and Ike in their beautiful new house.

Dixie

I'm leaving GG's this morning. I trust everyone knows how to get to her blog. We had Easter brunch with Urquharts.

The Morningside house is being improved. They've re-stuccoed, reroofed and the trees in front are gone. It looks like they plan to re-landscape, too.

Spring

Happy Easter weekend to all! I've been wanting to share all kinds of things but my time keeps getting away from me. I MISS everyone.

Love, Mom
