A mother and grandmother, we live in a beautiful farming valley but love every chance to see our wonderful children and grandchildren, near or far away.
We like the rice sticks (noodles) that we got amongst the goodies Erin/Josh gave us for Christmas. I rarely experiment from an untasted recipe, but I looked up Pad Thai and we made a yummy version of it. For the sauce we used Soy Vay, the teriyaki Scott introduced to us when he lived with us in SG.
I see that madras is making another comeback. I like it. The 60's ensemble included khaki jeans with navy, low cut tennis shoes. Bleached, surfer-looking hair optional.
Fun to watch the Dodgers remember Jackie Robinson's 60th year yesterday, every Dodger wearing #42. I've respected his restraint as the first black to play professional sport, but I'm every bit as impressed with his gracious wife, Rachel. Branch Rickey, Dodger General Manager, was the one to hire him.
