Alt

Our first chance to attend Alt Summit. So fun and interesting. But my favorite part is probably seeing my family doing interesting things--grown-up people. As always, I especially love the conversation. Here, Jimmy Slemboski and Jim Blair showed up and the boys ended up in an engaging plan to start a new kind of Charter School. (Room decor by Honda.)

Turkeys

Flocks of wild turkeys are wandering the streets of Mendon this winter. These five perched in the berry tree outside our home office window. They ate every berry within their reach. They make us laugh.

The Rodgers sent us these for Christmas. The purple/white crocuses are about to bloom here.

Christmas

We loved getting to see Josh and Erin and family at Christmas time. We went to Brian and Petrea's in Highland for his birthday. After that, the Stanleys came here.
We didn't get pictures, but I have some of the LR (I loved our live Christmas tree) and of Christina and Eric and boys, who were here Christmas morning. Fun to have little ones, excited for Santa.

Let it Snow

Also, made this cake for Holly Morgan's snowflake-theme wedding here in Mendon. I worked with her mom, Laura, in Primary.

Dickens of a Dinner

We were on the decoration committee for this years annual, Mendon Christmas party. With the help of a few select, talented people, we made a village across the front of the stage. Cardboard, glue and paint!

Hallelujah!

I like this. Of course for the music, but I can overlook the "pretend randomness" of these flash mob performances because the blend and/or contrast of the sacred and the mundane appeals to me.

Thanksgiving

Fun for me to be with grandkids. Robin and Paul were here in Mendon. On Saturday I took her to SLC to meet up with Paul so they could get to the stadium. (She's wearing the red wool wrap that Jordan gave me. Perfect Ute color.)

Women in Art

I just saw this video for the first time. Since it has had 10 million views, I guess I'm a little late to discover it. It fascinates me. And the music is nice.

Agave Nectar

Ran across this as a substitute for HFCS and really like it. Then we learned it's not much different than corn syrup, and in fact may be bad for you. At our ages, we're past worrying about these things too much. Maybe we should worry, but seriously. So the hairs of my head are made up of corn. They could be made of worse things. : )

Cruise In

Zella and Ruth were here for EFY and rode in the newly restored '57 Chevy in the car parade. You can see Ruth in the backseat. Our camera broke a week before, so thanks, Heather, for this picture.
