I like this. Of course for the music, but I can overlook the "pretend randomness" of these flash mob performances because the blend and/or contrast of the sacred and the mundane appeals to me.

Thanksgiving

Fun for me to be with grandkids. Robin and Paul were here in Mendon. On Saturday I took her to SLC to meet up with Paul so they could get to the stadium. (She's wearing the red wool wrap that Jordan gave me. Perfect Ute color.)

Women in Art

I just saw this video for the first time. Since it has had 10 million views, I guess I'm a little late to discover it. It fascinates me. And the music is nice.

Agave Nectar

Ran across this as a substitute for HFCS and really like it. Then we learned it's not much different than corn syrup, and in fact may be bad for you. At our ages, we're past worrying about these things too much. Maybe we should worry, but seriously. So the hairs of my head are made up of corn. They could be made of worse things. : )

Cruise In

Zella and Ruth were here for EFY and rode in the newly restored '57 Chevy in the car parade. You can see Ruth in the backseat. Our camera broke a week before, so thanks, Heather, for this picture.

Fun to be in Texas for Paul's HS graduation. We're so proud of him. Top picture with a potato gun, given to him by a YM leader. AMAZING to watch it in action!

Rose Path and Co.

Nice to meet Rachel's wonderful friends at Rose Path, where she's opening a Quilt Room. Rog helped put up a counter that will serve as a long desk for sewing machines. We joined their friends for a celebration dinner.

Groovy William Tell

On our way across the So. Calif. desert, heading home after seeing the Stanleys of San Diego, we went out to Lancaster to see/hear the Musical Road. The grooves in the road make the tune. Thanks, Dave Lopinsky, for the heads up. Hear it here. Funny!

Honda built one in Lancaster for a commercial but it wasn't the best spot so the city rebuilt it out on the way to the airport. Apparently it's one of three in the world.

San Francisco

This spring I made two trips to SF. It was good to go see the Stanleys and Ferneys, and then I went again for Paul's Sonoma Art Festival.

When the Stanleys left for San Diego I was really sad to have to say good-bye. We have really missed them.
